The European Union and a dozen countries expressed solidarity with displaced Palestinians and urged Israel to adhere to international law on June 4th, Middle East Eye reported.
The countries and the union issued a joint statement in “strong solidarity with the Palestinian community of Mughayir a-Deir” which is a village in the occupied West Bank where residents have left due to settler conflict. The UK, France, Germany and Canada were among the nations behind the statement.
The statement urged Israel to “respect its obligations under international law” and called on the authorities of Israel to get rid of the settler outpost and guarantee the arrival of displaced people to their original location of residence.
