Almost 380 writers from the UK and Ireland wrote an open letter on May 28th condemning what they refer to as Israel’s “genocide” in Gaza and calling for a ceasefire, according to Al-Monitor via AFP.

The letter urged “our nations and the peoples of the world to join us in ending our collective silence and inaction in the face of horror.” The message was published on Medium.

Israel has more than once denied claims that it has committed a genocide during its war on Gaza. Meanwhile, 300 French-language writers inked a similar statement which denounced the “genocide” in Gaza, WAFA news agency reported on May 28th.
