Two Israeli embassy members were shot dead outside a Jewish museum in Washington on the night of May 21st, with the suspected attacker later being taken into custody, The Guardian via Reuters reported.
The armed man, named by authorities as Elias Rodriguez, is from Chicago. He reportedly proceeded towards four people departing from an event at the Capital Jewish Museum and shot at them, leading to the death of Yaron Lischinsky as well as Sarah Milgrim.
Pamela Smith, who is the chief of Washington’s Metropolitan police, said the attacker had been walking up and down near the museum, which is close to the FBI’s field office.
