In a Beijing press briefing, spokesperson for the foreign ministry, Mao Ning, said “China firmly opposes any acts endangering the safety of diplomatic personnel. ”
The troops opened fire as European and Arab officials visited the Jenin refugee camp, which has been targeted by Israeli attacks. Mao said: “We demand the launch of a full investigation so that similar incidents do not happen again.”
