A Channel 13 poll found that 53% of Israeli participants are against humanitarian aid entering Gaza, despite the conditions worsening in the Palestinian territory, Middle East Eye reported on May 21st.
The findings come against a backdrop of the UN sounding the alarm over a hunger crisis in the Gaza Strip. Palestinian citizens of Israel were also included in the survey, which constitute over 20% of Israel’s population. This reportedly implies that the amount of Israelis being against aid entering Gaza could be significantly more.
In response to the poll, Palestinian-Israeli parliamentarian Ayman Odeh, said on X: “I don’t want to imagine the outcome without the Arab citizens. I don’t want to explain the survey results to my children.”
