Ex-members of the UK Special Forces blew the whistle on purported war crimes carried out by British soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, the BBC reported on May 12th.
For the first time the ex-soldiers publicly provided their witness accounts. The veterans said they had seen Special Air Service (SAS) personnel kill people who were not carrying arms whilst they were sleeping and also kill detainees in handcuffs, such as children.
On former soldier who served in Afghanistan with the SAS said: “They handcuffed a young boy and shot him. He was clearly a child, not even close to fighting age.” The veteran claimed that killing detainees became a standard practice.
