NGOs take legal action on UK government, over selling arms to Israel

NGOs and rights groups are taking the British government to court on May 13th, claiming the country has violated international law by arming Israel, according to Middle East Eye via AFP

The Palestinian rights organisation, Al-Haq, is looking to end the UK’s export of British-made components of Lockheed Martin F-35 fighter jets. Al-Haq has been supported by various organisations, such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and Oxfam.

It has not been confirmed when a decision will reached, after the hearing at London’s High Court, which will go on for four days.
