Officials say migrants in US may be deported to Libya

US officials have said that their country’s government could deport migrants to Libya, despite Washington’s previous criticism of the North African’s country’s treatment towards detainees.
The US military may fly the migrants to Libya on May 7th, according to two of the officials, Middle East Monitor via Reuters reported on the same date.
The White House, State Department and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have not immediately issued a comment, despite the fact that the Pentagon referred questions to the White House. Reuters was unable to confirm the number of migrants that would be transferred to Libya.
