Trump declares 100% tariff on films made in foreign nations
US President Donald Trump has declared that he is ordering a 100% tariff on all films coming to the US that have been made in foreign nations, The National via Reuters reported on May 5th.
Trump has claimed that films made in foreign countries put the national security of the US at risk.
Trump would not enforce the tariff, but he is authorising the US Department of Commerce and the US Trade Representative to introduce the suggested tariff. For tens of years, the production of Hollywood films has growingly gained a presence in foreign countries including Canada.
