Flash flooding kills two in south Jordan

The bodies of a mother and son who died in flash floods in south Jordan were taken away and a formal investigation into the case has started to find the reason behind the incident, Arab News via The Associated Press reported on May 5th.
Following the flash flooding which affected large areas of Jordan over the weekend, a search and rescue mission started in the country. On May 4th, hundreds of tourists were evacuated as the flooding worsened.
On that day, torrential rain led to flash floods, according to the Petra Development of Tourism and Region Authority.
