Captagon pills seized by Lebanon’s army on Syria border

A large amount of captagon pills were seized by Lebanon’s army in the Lebanon-Syria border, during a manufacturing plant raid, Arab News reported on May 5th.
A large amount of pills, the apparatus for making the drug as well as raw materials used in drug production were seized by an army division, assisted by a Directorate of Intelligence patrol.
The New Arab and agencies reported that roughly 100 million captagon pills were destroyed by Syria’s security forces on January 19th. Official Badr Youssef said that “10 to 15 tonnes of hashish” were also destroyed. The drugs had been seized from the Damascus HQ of the Fourth Division, which is inoperative.
