Oman aims for $10bn in foreign tourism investment

Oman is targeting an additional $10 billion in foreign investment to boost its tourism sector as part of its long-term economic diversification under Vision 2040.  

According to The National on May 2nd, following $10 billion already secured post-pandemic for hospitality and integrated tourism complexes, talks are underway with investors from the region, Russia, Egypt, and Asia to match that figure.  

The sultanate aims to attract 4.5 million international visitors by 2025, while ensuring sustainable growth and expanding tourism employment for nationals.
