War monitor says sectarian violence has killed at least 73 in Syria

At least 73 people have died, following two days of sectarian violence in the Syrian capital of Damascus and in the south of Syria, a war monitor has said, France 24 with AFP reported on May 1st.
UK-based monitor, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said the levels of deaths in the capital’s suburbs of Jaramana and Sahnaya included 30 people from the security forces, 15 Druze fighters, and a civilian.
Security sources and rescue workers said the violence was caused by a voice recording that was disseminated on social media of a man purportedly cursing the Prophet Mohammed. The recording was reportedly attributed to a Druze man.
