UK in talks with Saudi Arabia and France about Palestinian state

The UK Foreign Secretary said on April 30th that the British government is in talks with France and Saudi Arabia over recognising Palestinian statehood before a UN conference on the subject next month, Middle East Eye reported.
During talks with the House of Lords’ international relations and defence committee, David Lammy said it was not acceptable for the Palestinian people to be left without a state and stressed that a two-state solution is the sole way forward.
Lammy said that the UK, France, and Saudi Arabia were working together before the New York UN conference to make sure they “keep two states alive.”
