UAE stops unlawful attempt to give ammunition to Sudanese army

UAE security services have stopped an attempt by Sudanese military officials and others to unlawfully give ammunition to the Sudanese army, Middle East Monitor via WAM news agency reported on April 30th.

According to WAM, Emirati authorities discovered around five million rounds of ammunition on a private plane at an airport and had arrested several people.

Wam also reported that the plot to give arms had involved a group which included Salah Gosh, the ex-intelligence chief of Sudan. The North African country has filed a genocide case at the International Court of Justice, alleging that the UAE has provided arms to the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
