The UN World Food Programme has said it no longer has food to provide as aid in Gaza, following Israel’s aid blockade which has gone on for seven weeks, the BBC reported on April 25th.

The programme said: “Today, WFP delivered its last remaining food stocks to hot meals kitchens.” It added: “These kitchens are expected to fully run out of food in the coming days.”

All 25 of the bakeries which were supported by the programme in Gaza were left with no choice but to shut down, at the end of last month, after there was no more wheat flour and cooking fuel.
