UN court will start hearings on Israel’s obligation to Palestinians

The top court of the United Nations will start hearings on Israel’s obligation of aid for Palestinians, amid its obstruction of aid entering Gaza going on for over 50 days, Al-Monitor via AFP reported on April 28th.

Officials from the UN will start the five-day period of hearings at the International Court of Justice in The Hague. There will then be a Palestinian submission, which will be followed by 38 other nations addressing the 15 judges. The nations include the US, China, France, Russia and Saudi Arabia.

Submissions will also be made by the League of Arab States, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation as well as the African Union.
