Auschwitz march pays tribute to Holocaust victims, Israeli president attends

Thousands, including those who survived the Holocaust, participated in an annual march that remembers the Jews who died in the genocide, in which the Israeli President joined the crowds of people, the BBC reported on April 24th.

Known as the “March of the Living,” the event involves a 3km route to the crematorium of Auschwitz-Birkenau, as attendees remember the millions of Jewish deaths and urge for an end to antisemitism and wider intolerance.

Isaac Herzog, the Israeli President was seen with the attendees as they were going through the Auschwitz-Birkenau Nazi concentration camp, eight decades after it had been liberated by Soviet troops.
