Gaza hits most critical level of malnutrition, hospital director says

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital’s medical director has said that Gaza has reached the fifth degree of malnutrition, which is the most extreme extent that the World Health Organization defines.
The malnutrition crisis has been prompted by Israel’s obstruction of aid entering Gaza, the Middle East Eye via Wafa reported on April 24th.
In conversation with Voice of Palestine, the medical director of the hospital, Khalil al-Daqran said: “Gaza’s children are going through the most dangerous stages of malnutrition due to a complete absence of food and infant formula, and their lives are in real danger.”
