Egyptians honour the late Pope Francis

The Coptic Catholics of Egypt went to a prayer service for Pope Francis at Cairo’s Holy Virgin Mary Coptic Catholic Cathedral on April 22nd, remembering his intentions to bring worldwide peace, according to Africanews and AP.

The Metropolitan of Minya, Anba Basilius, said: “Certainly, we believe that the Pope’s departure may be in body, but on the other hand, we believe that those who carry ideas, and that ideas never die.”

The late Pope was the first Latin American pontiff. He exhibited a concern for those who face poverty, whilst being a critic of capitalism.
