Poll reveals more than half of Israelis support deal to end Gaza war

Most Israelis back an agreement that would see the liberation of hostages held by Hamas in return for ending the Gaza war and releasing Palestinian prisoners, according to a Kantar Institute poll.
The poll, which was published by Kan, Israel’s state broadcaster, found that 56% of respondents support this deal, but 22% are against it, the Middle East Eye reported on April 21st.
The poll also presented a change in political views, as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party attained seats in parliament, as the backing of opposition leader Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid party has dropped.
