Intensified attacks in Sudan spark concern from UN Security Council

The United Nations Security Council has raised the alarm over intensified attacks in Sudan, as the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have caused the deaths of at least 400 civilians, Middle East Monitor via Anadolu Agency reported on April 18th.
In a press statement, Security Council President Jerome Bonnafont said: “The members of the Security Council strongly condemned the repeated attacks on El Fasher as well as on the Zamzam and Abu Shouk camps for internally displaced persons in recent days by the RSF.”
The statement also called for the fighting to end swiftly.
