French embassy officials ordered to leave Algeria

Algeria has ordered 12 French embassy employees to leave the country after being declared persona non grata in the latest escalation of tensions between the countries.

According to AL24 News on April 15th the employees have 48 hours to leave the country, with the move being in response to the French arresting an Algerian consular employee.

Accusing France of a “blatant encroachment on its sovereignty,” Algeria and diplomatic relations with France seem to be deteriorating again.
