UK MPs in shock over not being allowed entry into Israel

Two Members of Parliament (MPs) from the UK’s ruling Labour Party have said they are “astounded” to have not been granted entry into Israel, while they were on a trip abroad to go to the occupied West Bank, the BBC reported on April 6th.
Yuan Yang and Abtisam Mohamed said it was essential that parliamentarians were able to see first-hand the circumstances in the occupied West Bank.
They had not been given entry because they planned to “spread hate speech” against Israel, according to the country’s population and immigration authority.
David Lammy, the UK Foreign Secretary, condemned Israel’s authorities. He said that not allowing them entry was “unacceptable, counterproductive, and deeply concerning.”
