Red Cross outraged after strike kills eight medics in Gaza

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is “outraged” over the deaths of eight medics who were killed whilst on duty in southern Gaza’s Rafah, the BBC reported on March 31st.

The ambulance team, made up of nine people, came under fire on March 23rd in al-Hashashin, according to the IFRC. Their bodies were recovered on March 30th after access was not given for a week. But one medic remains missing.

According to the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), their staff’s bodies were recovered together with one UN worker and those of the six members of the Hamas-run civil defence agency in Gaza.
