Prince Harry steps down as patron of African charity

Prince Harry has stepped down as a patron of an African charity that he co-founded almost two decades ago in memory of the late Princess Diana, over the deterioration of the relations between the chairwoman and board members, Rédaction Africanews and AP reported on March 26th.
In 2006, Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho together founded the charity, Sentebale. In a joint statement, they said that they had stepped down “with heavy hearts” as patrons until future notice in solidarity with the trustees in their row with Sophie Chandauka, the chairwoman.
Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso said: “It is devastating that the relationship between the charity’s trustees and the chair of the board broke down beyond repair, creating an untenable situation.”
