Israeli ambassador suggests executing Gaza minors
David Roet, Israel’s ambassador to Austria suggested executing Palestinian minors who are involved in armed conflict, according to a surreptitiously recorded video, the Middle East Eye reported on March 24th.
In closed-door talks with the local Jewish community in Innsbruck on March 20th Roet said that “there should be a death sentence” for teenagers “holding a gun” or a “grenade”. Roet did not give any evidence of children holding weapons in Gaza.
The video was taken two days after Israel violated the Gaza ceasefire on March 18th, with over 500 Palestinians being killed, by this point in time.
