The US and Israel will hold a strategic meeting on Iran’s nuclear programme Trump ramps up its maximum pressure campaign, reported by the Middle East Eye on March 21st.

Trump set a letter to Iran’s Supreme Leader, offering talks with a two-month deadline for a new nuclear deal. This comes after the US imposed new sanctions on China’s refineries which process Iranian crude, aiming to entirely cut Tehran’s oil exports to China. Despite the outreach, the US and Israel conducted joint air force drills, signalling military readiness in the Eastern Mediterranean on Tehran’s nuclear facilities.
