Hamas responds to Israel’s violence by firing at Tel Aviv

On March 20th, Hamas claimed to have launched missiles into Tel Aviv, the commercial centre of Israel. The attack has been dubbed Hamas’ first military response to the mounting number of civilian deaths following Israel’s restart of air and ground operations in Gaza, Al Monitor reported on March 20th.

According to Gaza’s civil defence service, Israel’s attack has killed 504 Palestinians in three days, including over 190 children.

The Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ armed wing, said that the proscribed terror group launched missiles into Tel Aviv in retaliation for Israel’s “massacres” of Gazan civilians.
