US travel ban affecting over 40 countries could be on the cards

The US is thinking about issuing travel restrictions to citizens from dozens of countries, according to sources who are familiar with the subject as well as an internal memo which Reuters viewed.
The memo consists of 41 nations, which are divided into three groups. The first group is comprised of 10 countries including Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, Cuba and North Korea, which would reportedly be set for a full suspension of visas, Reuters reported on March 17th.
According to the Middle East Eye, the three groups define different categories: nations that are completely banned, nations that would face restrictions of a strong effect for travel to the US and nations which would have a period of 60 days to address concerns.
