Despite the ceasefire, Israeli air strikes hit the south of Lebanon on March 16th, leading to four deaths, Lebanese state media and the health ministry said, according to the Middle East Eye.

Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA), reported that three people were killed from Israeli attacks on Ainata Mais el-Jabal, and Bint Jbeil.

The truce has been effective in Lebanon since November 2024, bringing an end to months-long cross-border warfare between Israel and Hezbollah, according to Anadolu Agency. Under the ceasefire agreement, Israel was meant to entirely withdraw from southern Lebanon by January 26th. However, the deadline was extended to February 18th, following Israel’s non-compliance.
