Israeli forces kill three Palestinians in the West Bank

Israel’s forces have killed three Palestinians in an occupied West Bank refugee camp on February 19th, according to The New Arab.

Despite the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, the military has continued its assault on the Palestinian territory.

So far, Israel’s month-long military mission in the occupied West Bank has forcibly displaced around 40,000 Palestinians and killed dozens of people.

The killings took place as a house, in the al-Fara’a camp, south of Tubas was besieged by Israeli troops. Citing security sources, the Palestinian news agency WAFA said that the Israeli military was firing bullets and missiles at the home.

According to Hamas, the people who died were embroiled in an armed clash with Israeli soldiers. As of yet, the identities of the people who have been killed are unknown. The proscribed terror group also slammed Israel for its growing attacks in the occupied West Bank.

On Wednesday and Thursday, explosions were also heard and reported in Tulkarm Camp, a refugee camp northwest of the West Bank. Arab News via Reuters reported on February 19th that tens of thousands of Palestinians have fled refugee camps in the occupied West Bank as the Israeli offensive continued.

“We don’t know what’s going on in the camp but there is continuous demolition and roads being dug up,” Mohammed Al-Sabbagh, head of the Jenin camp services committee, said.

Tulkarm Deputy Governor Faisal Salama said the Israelis had bulldozed another 15 homes on February 19th to lay new roads and expand incursions into the camp.

“The majority of the camp’s residents have been displaced and about 50 families are left in houses without water or electricity,” Salama said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has since visited the Tulkarm refugee camp, following the clashes, on February 21st, according to The Jerusalem Post.
