Turkey gave drones to Sudanese military in fight against RSF

Turkey has provided drones for Sudan’s army in its fight against the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), signifying Ankara’s support for the Sudanese military, the Middle East Monitor via the Middle East Eye reported on February 28th.

A report by the Middle East Eye revealed that unnamed sources who are familiar with the subject matter disclosed that Turkey supplied a number of combat drones to Sudan’s military during October 2024. The amount has not been specified. The supply of drones, meant that the military could launch offensives as well as counterattacks against the RSF.

Reportedly, one of the sources said that Bayraktar TB2 drones were being used to target the logistics convoys of the RSF, together with artillery batteries and response units.
