Survivors of October 7th attacks file lawsuit against Al Jazeera

A group of people who survived the attacks of October 7th 2023, are suing the Qatar-based Al Jazeera network in a US court, claiming that the network assisted the Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hamas in disseminating propaganda, stoking violence and recruiting activists, the Middle East Eye reported on February 27th.

An article in the Jewish Chronicle published on February 27th, reported that the survivors include Morris Schnaider, the uncle of Shiri Bibas who was held captive by Hamas. Schaider’s sister and brother-in-law were also believed to have been murdered during the attacks.

The education organisation, StandWithUS, said that on February 23rd, the lawsuit was filed at a US District Court in Washington, DC. The organisation reportedly provided assistance in preparing the lawsuit.
