A Tunisian national on February 26th was given a life sentence with no parole for the killing of three in Nice in France during 2020, which was one of several attacks that year associated with extremism, according to The New Arab and agencies.
Brahim Aouissaoui, who is 25, was charged with both terrorist murder and attempted terrorist murder. In his trial in Paris, he admitted that he was responsible for the lethal attack. Aouissaoui said he wanted to take revenge due to Muslims being killed across the world by countries in the West.
On October 29th 2020, Aouissaoui killed the worshippers Nadine Vincent, 60, and Simone Barreto, a 44-year-old French-Brazilian woman, as well as 55-year-old church worker Vincent Loquès.
