Egypt proposes Gaza reconstruction plan
Egypt is intending to put forward a thorough plan for the reconstruction of Gaza that would ensure Palestinians remain out of their land, the country’s foreign ministry said in a statement on February 11th, according to The New Arab.
The statement said: “The Arab Republic of Egypt expresses its aspiration to cooperate with the US administration led by President Donald Trump to achieve a comprehensive and just peace in the region, by reaching a just settlement of the Palestinian issue that takes into account the rights of the people of the region.”
The foreign ministry also said that the proposal would defend Palestinians’ rights and that it would take into account any actions that could hamper peace in the region.
