Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suggested on February 6th that Palestinians should have a state in Saudi Arabia, in his most recent dismissal of Palestinian peoples rights to self-determination, the Middle East Eye reported on February 7th.

In an interview with Israel’s Channel 14, Netanyahu said: “The Saudis can create a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia; they have a lot of land over there.”

The interview happened while Netanyahu was on an official visit to the US. It took place after a joint press conference with Donald Trump, in which Trump announced his intensions for the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza so that the enclave becomes the “Riviera of the Mediterranean.”
