Eight hostages held by Hamas in Gaza have been freed as part of the ceasefire deal, the BBC via Reuters reported on January 30th.

Three Israelis and five Thai nationals were freed by Hamas and handed over to the Red Cross. They were later transferred to Israeli forces and brought to Israel.

This is the third release as part of the ceasefire deal, which also includes the release of Palestinian prisoners being kept in Israeli prisons. For January 30th, 110 Palestinians are expected to be released.

The releases of January 30th mean 15 hostages have been set free since the ceasefire, which was effective since January 19th.
