Israeli attack kills two in occupied West Bank, officials say

Two Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire in the occupied West Bank overnight and into January 29th, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry, Asharq Al-Awsat via The Associated Press reported.

In Tulkarem, a 23-year-old man was shot dead and in a strike in Jenin, a 25-year-old man was killed. In its reports, the ministry does not differentiate between combatants and civilians and there was no immediate comment coming from the Israeli military.

Since the Hamas-led attack of October 7th 2023, the West Bank has seen a big increase in violence. There has also been an increase in settler violence against Palestinians and attacks on Israelis from Palestinians, since the beginning of the war.
