Egypt launches biggest humanitarian aid convoy to Gaza

The launch of the biggest humanitarian aid convoy for Palestinians in the Gaza strip was announced on January 26th, by Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, according to Anadolu Agency.

Madbouly said during a speech at a conference in Cairo’s Asmarat area, that the convoy was launched “in implementation of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s directives and in response to the call of humanity to support our Palestinian brothers in Gaza,” a statement from Madbouly’s office said.

Madbouly had overseen the emergence of the governmental initiative, the Tahya Misr Fund, which arranged the biggest holistic humanitarian aid convoy come from Asmarat.
