Aoun wants Lebanese government to represent all political factions

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on January 21st called for a government to be formed that carries consensus and includes members of all political factions, Asharq Al-Awsat reported.
Aoun urged that all elements of society hold the right to be represented in government, as well as the parliament and public administration, as this already holds true in the army.
Aoun said: “We have significant opportunities that we hope to seize by uniting all elements of Lebanese society—civil, spiritual, and political. Together, we can rebuild our nation.”
Aoun also said that he is seeking the fast formation of government to fulfil political, economic and security solidity, enabling the Lebanese people “to live with dignity, not merely in relative comfort.”
