Israel’s military stormed and bombed Jenin, conducting an offensive on the occupied northern West Bank city, just days after a ceasefire took form, the Middle East Eye reported on January 21st.

At least six Palestinians were killed in the attacks and 35 others suffered wounds, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.

The bombing was reportedly coupled with a widespread “ground assault” conducted by Israel’s forces, which is anticipated to go on for several days, a military source told The Times of Israel.

Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces, who have attacked and blockaded Jenin since early last month, left the city before Israel’s offensive started.
