President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on January 15th that the country has the capacity and power to “crush” all the terrorists in Syria, such as Isis and Kurdish militants, whilst calling on all countries to “take their hands off” Syria, Asharq Al-Awsat via Reuters reported.

Since Bashar al-Assad was ousted in December, Turkey has more than once said it was time that the Kurdish YPG militia broke up. The militia, which leads the US-allied Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) is regarded as a terrorist organization by Ankara.

Ankara has said the new Syrian administration must be given the chance to deal with the YPG presence, but also said that it will launch a new cross-border operation against the group which is based in northeast Syria, if the demands are not fulfilled.
