Norway will host meeting for Palestine-Israel two-state solution
Delegates from Various countries will arrive in Norway on January 15th which will form part of an international alliance to achieve a two-state solution for the conflict between Israel and Palestine, Norway’s foreign ministry said on January 13th.
The attendees will include Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammed Mustafa, head of the UN’s Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA Philippe Lazzarini and UN envoy to the Middle East, Tor Wennesland, The New Arab and agencies reported.
The talks will be third meeting of of the “Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution,” whose formation was announced during September.
In a statement, Norway’s Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, said: “While we must continue to work for an end to the war (in Gaza), we must also work for a lasting solution to the conflict that guarantees self-determination, security and justice for both the Palestinians and the Israelis.”
