War crimes suspect lists circulated by Syrians

The United Nations Commission of Inquiry on Syria has been working on a list of people who are suspected of committing serious crimes, but since the fall of the country’s previous regime, dozens of “unofficial” lists have been circulated.

The list of people who are shown to be involved in war crimes and human rights violations under the Assad-led regime is one of the most complex issues faced by Syria’s new administration. This is particularly due to the lack of an official and public lists of wanted people, Asharq Al-Awsat reported on January 13th.
