Israeli map claiming Arab lands violates “international law” – UAE

ISRAEL-SYRIA-CONFLICT

The UAE has strongly condemned the Israeli government’s publication of a map called “Historic Israel”, which claims parts of modern day Palestine, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon, The National reported on January 8th.

Posted by the Israeli Foreign Ministry’s Arabic account on X, the map showcased the biblical boundaries of historical Israel and Judea, which according to biblical accounts span across various areas to the east of the Jordan river.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the UAE stated that publishing the map is a “deliberate effort to expand the occupation and a blatant violation and contravention of international law.” The Ministry also expressed that the UAE categorically rejects provocative practices aimed at altering Palestine’s legal status.
