Israeli attacks on the Gaza strip have killed at least 28 Palestinians on January 8th, with the UN agency UNRWA saying that hospitals are now “death traps,” The New Arab reports.

Medical sources report that the attacks caused ten deaths within one family in central Gaza and three people from a different family in the neighborhood of Deir al-Balah.

This death toll comes a day after at least 49 Palestinians were killed by Israel in the Gaza strip, including children who were taking shelter in what has been described as a “Safe-zone.”
