Nasrallah killed inside war operations room, Hezbollah official says

Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah, was killed in an Israeli airstrike last year inside the group’s war operations room, a senior Hezbollah official revealed on January 5th, according to the The New Arab and agencies.
On September 27th 2024, a number of Israeli airstrikes demolished several buildings in the southern suburbs of Beirut, which led to Nasrallah’s death. According to the Lebanese health ministry six people died. Reportedly, Nasrallah and other senior officials were meeting underground.
The assassination of the leader, who oversaw the militant group for 32 years, meant that months of minimal strikes between Israel and the militants became a full-blown war that struck the majority of southern and eastern Lebanon for two months until a US-arranged ceasefire took place on November 27th.
