The Palestinian Authority has ordered the suspension of Al Jazeera broadcasts and on January 2nd, claimed the company is responsible for incitement.

The news organisation, Al Jazeera, is currently barred from broadcasting in Israeli, as the result of a feud with the Israeli government, according to Asharq Al-Awsat via Reuters.

In September 2024, Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, descended on the Al Jazeera office and claimed that it was “used to incite terror.”

On January 2nd, the authority said that its suspension was not permanent and explained that the suspension followed a complaint from the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate over the news organisation’s coverage.
