Signs of destruction and ethnic cleansing in Gaza, including siege, forced displacement and widespread killings are “undeniable”, according to a report from Doctors Without Borders.

The humanitarian Aid organisation, also known as “Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF),” examined Israel’s latest attacks in the area in its findings which were published on December 19th, as reported by Middle East Eye.

Titled, “Gaza: Life in a Death Trap”, the report stated that the “impossible conditions of life for Palestinians under siege and bombardment—are undeniable.”

The organisation said in the report “we are seeing clear signs of ethnic cleansing as Palestinians are forcibly displaced, trapped, and bombed.”

According to MSF, groups sent out by the organisation have seen “a pattern of attacks against hospitals” including targeted shelling as well as attacks on medical staff, patients and ambulances.

The organisation also said that Israel’s actions imply its troops are “waging a war on the health of Gazans” which would destroy the healthcare services within the area.

According to the Palestinian health ministry’s latest figures this month, the deaths of Palestinians working in the health sector has reached 1057.

The report also claims that healthcare requests for patients in the sieged area including those for wounded children and their caregivers were rejected by “Israeli authorities without justification or apparent reason.”

Human Rights Watch reportedly said on December 19th that Israel has killed thousands of people in Gaza by denying them access to clean water, which they claim is legally classified as genocide.

The organisation said in its report: “This policy, inflicted as part of a mass killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza, means Israeli authorities have committed the crime against humanity of extermination, which is ongoing.”

The organisation added that Israel’s actions are an “act of genocide” under Genocide Convention of 1948.

MSF also said that between the closure of the Rafah crossing in early May 2024 and September 2024, Israeli authorities have only allowed the evacuations of 229 patients. The organisation said that this makes up 1.6% of those “who needed it at the time.”
